My Story

Welcome to Kinda Crunchy!

Hi there! I’m Helen, wife, mom, farmer, and soapmaker. My family and I moved to Central North Carolina in 2010. We raise a menagerie of animals including chickens, ducks, geese, hair sheep and Nubian dairy goats on our small farm. While I enjoy all aspects of animal husbandry and raising our own proteins, dairy goats are my true love. I never cease to be amazed at what I can make with goats milk. After creating many of our family's dairy products for years with goats milk, I started making goat milk soap in 2023.

I quickly realized that this soap was a product that needed to be shared. Winter is usually hard on my skin, leaving it dry and flaky. Goats milk soap moisturizes and nourishes skin, while commercial soaps strip the skin of all their natural oils. 

Goats milk soap is also a creative endeavor. Made in small batches and hand cut, there will be variations in patterns and design between each batch of soap for a truly unique bar of soap.
